The Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) is pleased to announce the establishment of AoEC Ghana, a significant step in bringing world-class coach training and leadership development to professionals across Ghana.
As part of this expansion, AoEC Ghana will initially offer the internationally respected AoEC Coaching Skills Certificate (CSC) programme, providing leaders, managers, HR professionals, pastors, consultants and aspiring coaches with practical coaching skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace and beyond. The AoEC’s flagship programme, the Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching becomes the preferred choice for coaching training in the sub-region, a course that combines rigorous coaching methodology and lots of hands-on experience through deep self‑awareness and reflective practice.
AoEC Ghana will be led by Professor Ivy Drafor Amenyah, an executive coach, leadership trainer, facilitator, author, chaplain and professor with more than three decades of experience developing leaders, teams and communicators across West and East Africa. Through her organisation – Agenda Inspirations – she has become widely recognised for her commitment to combining global coaching standards with deep cultural understanding and relevance within the African context.
The launch of AoEC Ghana reflects a shared commitment to raising coaching capability and leadership effectiveness in the region by making internationally recognised coach training more accessible to organisations and individuals seeking to unlock potential and create lasting impact.
Ivy commented: “Our vision is to foster a widespread culture of authentic and professional coaching in Ghana – a culture anchored in global standards, yet culturally relevant. We are committed to ensuring our work has a clear intergenerational impact, reaching and equipping young people with professional coaching skills to maximise the potential of Ghana’s youthful population. We seek to contribute to a strong leadership culture in Ghana – one that builds resilient institutions, develops people, and contributes meaningfully to national development. We are raising a generation of coaches and leaders for Ghana and beyond.”
Paul Smith, managing director of AoEC Global, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ivy to the AoEC global partner community and to establish AoEC Ghana as part of our growing international network. Ivy brings a wealth of leadership experience, professional credibility and a deep understanding of the cultural context in which leaders operate.
“At the AoEC, we are passionate about developing coaches who can create meaningful change in individuals, teams and organisations. We are excited to see the AoEC Coaching Skills Certificate introduced in Ghana, followed by the Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching, and look forward to supporting the growth of a vibrant coaching community under Ivy’s leadership. On behalf of everyone at AoEC Global, I warmly welcome Ivy and AoEC Ghana to our international family.”
